I founded Contact Light with the belief that real progress comes when we have faith in ourselves to do the hard things. The company’s name references the first words uttered on the surface of the moon. The words themselves are commonplace—confirmation an indicator light had illuminated. But their significance: that a quarter of a million miles away two human beings now stood on the surface of another planetary body—the culmination of the hopes and dreams of millions of people made real by unwavering focus, passion and determination. “Contact Light” embodies the spirit of this effort: milestones on the continuum of progress.

My professional journey has been anything but linear. I’ve long straddled two seemingly disparate worlds—filmmaking and the law—and for a time, I felt the need to mask one in favor of the other. Over the years, I’ve grown more comfortable in my own skin, learning to see these dual callings not as competing forces, but as complementary strengths. Each informs the other, and together they’ve given me a unique perspective and a broad toolkit I try and bring to every project.
As a producer, I take a true soup-to-nuts approach, specializing in small to mid-size productions that embody the independent spirit. I’m a two-time Emmy® Award-winning filmmaker with work reaching audiences worldwide — from PBS documentaries like ‘When We Were Apollo and ‘When We Were Shuttle’ to my genre-bending feature ‘Dead Mail,’ which premiered at SXSW and TIFF before streaming on Shudder/AMC+. My latest feature, ‘Liz Here Now,’ stars Oscar® nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and is currently in post-production.
As an attorney specializing in entertainment and intellectual property law, I offer a flexible, scalable approach carefully crafted with the independent artist in mind—ranging from à la carte guidance to comprehensive development, production, distribution and delivery packages—that adapt responsibly and sustainability to any budget.
